The use of sub-2 μm particles is becoming increasingly popular for applications in both High Throughput Screening (HTS) assays and in Ultra High Pressure Liquid Chromatography (UHPLC). Columns packed with 1.9 μm Hypersil GOLD™ particles offer advantages over the more traditional columns containing 3 and 5 μm particles by delivering higher efficiency over a wider range of linear velocity. If speed is the most important consideration, this can be maximized by using a short column with a high flow rate. Hypersil GOLD 1.9 μm Javelin HTS columns take this to the extreme with short 10 mm columns enabling analysis times as fast as 8 seconds. The use of ultra-low dead volume, direct connect Javelin hardware also minimizes dispersion.

Hypersil GOLD 1.9µm Javelin HTS columns are ideal for the rapid separation of simple analyte mixtures where analysis times of less than 1 minute and efficiencies of less than 5000 plates are required. Benefits of these columns include:
