Konelab PRIME 30, a cost-effective choice in clinical chemistry testing

New features in Konelab PRIME 30, like sample clot detection and safer calibrator and quality control sample loading, improve operational efficiency and result integrity. The clinical chemistry system's new design includes an integrated workstation and a touch screen which makes it an ideal choice for laboratories with limited space. Over 80 routine and special methods are available.

Automated sample pretreatment feature for HbA1c measurement is introduced in Konelab series of clinical chemistry analyzers. This new feature saves time in sample processing, reduces the costs of consumables and minimizes operator to operator variation. The manual hemolyzing step is eliminated and the sample pretreatment is done directly from the primary tubes in the analyzer.

With the set of Thermo Scientific Arena Applications the raw potato material can be tested by measuring D-glucose, D-fructose, sucrose and asparagine which form acrylamide under certain conditions. The measurement is done from a pressed potato juice mixed with a special diluent. Acrylamide is reported to be potentially toxic for humans.
